Custom Website Design

Being a first-class web designer means a lot more than learning a website layout program.

With so much "easy-to-use" software and templates available, you can get the idea that just about anyone can design an effective website. Not true. Learning how to make a website layout program work doesn't make you a first-class web designer any more than learning to type turns you into a best-selling author.

Always check out the training and hands-on experience of every web design team you consider. Otherwise, you may end up with a web "builder" rather than a designer.

Every website we design is a custom site. We use only original art or photographs, no clip art. We can keep your pages current for you -- or, if you'd rather, we can teach you how to make your own updates and changes.

Because every website is unique, we must learn all you can tell us about what you expect from your website so that we can prepare an estimate for designing or revising it. We also need to know if you already have logos, graphics and photos available, or if you want us to prepare them for you.

How we price website design

We charge $100/hour for website design. For a small new or redesigned website, you should expect to pay $2,000 to $3,000. This includes the "look and feel" for the entire website, including navigation and a template page for creating interior pages. The cost of interior pages will depend on their content. Shopping cart pages, for example, will cost more to set up than pages of poetry. More complex websites will cost substantially more

Complex graphics and other complicated elements such as forms drive the per page cost higher. Ask for specific costs per job.
